We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. We try to reach as great a public as possible, inform it about our work and win over new and new supporters for our cause. You can find updates on our projects and events by surfing the News.

We introduced the mysterious African spirit and athmosphere to 150 students

The Romanian, Slovakian and Hungarian children from Hungary and across the borders could participate twice in four different workshops held by the Foundation during the three-day-long International Congress for Bethlehem Movement in Kecskemét.

The children could listen to presentations with photos and videos about the Foundation for Africa and the strange African way of living. Through tolerancegames and various informative tasks they could get to know the world and even themselves better. With the assistance of an animator it was possible to make African instruments, jewelry and paper toys which the children could take home at the end. Finally Paulo, a professional dancer from Angola taught the children the basic steps of Zumba that had come originally from Africa through Colombia. The irresestible afro-latin rhythm and the varied but simple combinations of steps made the adults join as well and on the last day teacher and student were dancing together. One of the peaks of the Congress was France’s lecture in the crowded auditorium in front of 200 people. After the presentation on the common characteristics of humanitarian activities and the custom of having Christmas cribs, every participant received the book titled Snapshot on Africa. This way our message can reach beyond borders with the contribution of enthusiastic children.
