The day started with the welcoming words of Tibor Plánk, the director of the school and France Mutombo, the director of the Foundation for Africa. After their speeches Fodor Erika, the counsellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave an exciting presentation about her own experiences. After the talks the audience also felt like participating in the knowledge-sharing process and the open discussion started with the active contribution of the students on such topics as human rights, protection of the environment or poverty.
Based on the given feedback it can be stated that the programme is worthful of repetition even within broader circles. The participants highlighted that the discussion was very memorable for them. Not to wonder why; this was the peak of the event, when everybody could freely express their opinion concerning the upcoming questions. The organizers from the Foundation were glad to see that the students were well-informed about the topics, and it was a real surprise that they dared to defend their opinion even in conflict situations. The students were talking about the topics of the forum even in the 10-15-minute-long breaks.
After the joint lunch France Mutombo introduced the aims and activities of the Foundation for Africa. The conference closed then with a pleasant african dance and singing. The good athmosphere convinced the organizers that the implementation of the project, which so many students, teachers and colleges at the Foundation for Africa had been working together for was succesful. That particular invisible bridge between the student from Hungary, neighbouring countries and the youngsters of africa has been built for the sake of all participants.
