We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. We try to reach as great a public as possible, inform it about our work and win over new and new supporters for our cause. You can find updates on our projects and events by surfing the News.

We had a fortune to hold this occasion in an inspiring environment and in gorgeous weather. In this beautiful place we had everything provided for the more than 80 kids and their teachers who came from the schools of Lauder, Bőcs, Ózd, and Berettyóújfalu. We formed groups based on different African tribes, and we painted our faces and arms according to their traditions. Every group moved together from workshop to workshop, so we not just had a chance to get to know each other better, but we were playing and learning new skills at the same time. We practiced painting, African drumming, dancing, and even experienced a special new massage technique (Ecoatl).
The students of the schools from Ózd and Bőcs had prepared two lectures on the big questions and problems which effect the teenagers in a global level nowadays. Their stories were about getting to know other cultures, our virtual and real values, and our differences. Every one of us were moved by their performances. The students from Berettyóújfalu made a very special exhibition for this event, we saw beautiful pieces of arts.
Special thanks to the Igazgyöngy Alapítvány, who partnered with us, so we were able to make our “Four Elements” creation together. We were working on four different canvas and we linked them together in the end, every participants had their own part in it, so it has a great value for us.
The students also had a chance to test their knowledge about the hottest continent, we rewarded the correct answers with different prizes.
We had a great night! The Afrobreak band provided the good mood with their good music.
We believe that our project was successful, we were able to bring these kids together. We have faith that they also understood a bit more that our differences make us stronger and they also make this world more interesting!
We would like to mention our team, the volunteers, and the teachers who helped us, to make this two days unforgettable, so we could close our “Do we know each other?” project in this special way.
We also would like to thank for the EEA/Norway NGO Fund’s support. They provided not just this opportunity, but they also shaping our attitude in a daily basis, help to raise tolerance and tear down prejudice and ignorance.
