We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. The second Budapest-Africa Forum: A milestone of African-Hungarian Relations

The second Budapest-Africa Forum was held on 2nd and 3th November 2015, focused on cooperation within the field of education as this is the key for African development. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, H.E. Franck Mwe di Malila Apenela also attended the event and during his stay in Hungary he also visited to the office of Foundation for Africa.

The II. Budapest-Africa Forum, held on 2-3 November 2015, focused on cooperation within the field of education as this is the key for African development. Deputy Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, H.E. Franck Mwe di Malila Apenela also attended the event and during his stay in Hungary he paid a visit to the office of Foundation for Africa as well. During the conference, the President of Foundation for Africa, Mr France Mutombo Tshimuanga, held a speech, in which he emphasized that to strengthen Hungarian-African cooperation the support of the African diaspora in Hungary is also necessary. He said that is very important to know the Hungarian culture and African traditions at the same time.
The event was opened by Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs. Besides African officials and African alumni, representatives of Hungarian firms with African interests were also invited to the conference.
One of the greatest achievements of the Forum, is the signature a scholarship program between the Democatic Republic of Congo and Hungary, which is the sigture of the work-plan for Sipndium Hungaricumof the work-plan. Thanks to the program, there will be secured places for African students to study in Hungary. By returning to their home country, their local communities will benefit from their acquired knowledge abroad.
Africa insignificantly increasing in the Hungarian foreign policy affairs. Without a doubt, this Forum opens new ways of cooperation in trade, education and science. The Hungarian-African relations are built actively of Foundation for Africa as well. The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo also acknowledged the role of Foundation for Africa in the field of development.
