We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. Water tower is ready

We placed a huge water tower on the orphanage’s courtyard, with this construction we would like to permanently ensure the supply of clean drinking water in our institute in Congo. Thanks you for our 168 supporters who have contributed to the implementation of the project with 170 000 HUF donation. Leave a mark, you, too!

The Democratic Republic of Congo is one of the poorest countries in the world. Although it is rich in minerals and natural resources, large part of the population live in terrible circumstances, the average income is 700 $/year. The lack of the good hygiene and the clean water are the reasons for the low standard of living and the mortality. Our winning entry’s target 'Vízibility – With Clear Water For the Future Of Congolese Children' is to develop the infrastructure and the drinking water supply in our foundation’s school, orphanage and its environment. András Domonyai rural development specialist coordinates the work on the spot.
Recently we have built a water tower in the courtyard of our orphanage which is an important step towards the self-preservation and the constant access to clear water. In 2013 we connected the orpahanage’s and the school’s sewer system which is connected the state system. Unfortunately the public utility system is not reliable, water supply often gets stuck and the quality is not good. So a water storage tank was needed. Some weeks ago we wrote that we build concrete pillars which will hold the tank. We are pleased to say that the water tower is ready! After the installation the gravitation will help to hold the appropriate pressure.
In addition to build of the water tower we have a hygiene education program and we started to develop the public sewer system. The project will be realized from 5.6 million HUF in Kinshasa, we got 5 million HUF from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations.
