We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. We try to reach as great a public as possible, inform it about our work and win over new and new supporters for our cause. You can find updates on our projects and events by surfing the News.

Christmas in the Orphanage

2016. January 07.

The pleasure was high in the La Providence Orphanage of Kinshasa at Christmas. The tenants of the children’s home, that supported by Hungarians, got nice new shoes dresses and toys. We would like to thank you for these donations also this way.

The Foundation for Africa established the Orphanage of La Providence in 2008 and housed 11 children. During the last 8 years these lovely children, who all lived once in difficult circumstances, grew a lot and all of them are teenagers by now. Without exception every one of them is an uncut diamond; there are children who are attracted by the gardening and there are also ones who are interested in religion. The singing and the music are parts of their everyday life but they also have serious ambitions: they would like to help the neediest through care training and development.

It was a great joy at Christmas when France Mutombo, President of our Foundation handed the gifts to the orphans which were mainly sent by their supporters from Hungary. There were school equipments, shoes and dresses among the gift-parcels. Nothing is nicer than seeing the happiness and smile of these children.

We are grateful for the emotinal and financial support. Thanks to these we have the possibility not just to cheer these children up but we can also change their lives.
