We try to lend a helping hand to as many African children and families in need as possible and to provide them with an efficient, cross-sectoral and sustainable assistance. Beside our projects on the ground, we also organise a number of presentations and programmes in Hungary so that everyone can discover the cultural and natural values of the African continent. We try to reach as great a public as possible, inform it about our work and win over new and new supporters for our cause. You can find updates on our projects and events by surfing the News.

Water springing from the well

2009. June 26.

We have reached another milestone in the development of the Othniel College and of the whole region. Yesterday, for the first time sprang water from the well on the courtyard of the school, the sinking of which started yet in March. The water springs up now from a depth of 70 metres.
The well serves not only the pupils of the school and the orphanage, but it also secures enough, safe and clean water for the nearly ten thousand inhabitants of the area. Until now, the small orphans had to walk some 400 metres to collect water and carry it home in buckets on their head, which weighed even 10 to 15 liters. Now the water flows at arm’s length.
We thank it for the US organisation “Reaching Hearts for Kids”, the Help International and our enthusiastic supporters, who all contributed to that our Foundation could give a real present to the poor of Congo: a well supplying clean water.
