HIV/AIDS&SEXURITY – Educational Program against AIDS/HIV
Foundation for Africa introduced a new Health, Educational and Indicative Program for College Othniel. On Saturday within Ethics Day every student is dealt by experts who are specifically trained for such kind of programs. Doctor Annie is working with Ministry of Health jointly on other programs as well. This new aim is a serious challenge for the staff of Foundation for Africa, but especially teachers and families. In Congo sexual relationships, AIDS/HIV and intimate hygiene issues are taboos due to traditions, therefore children cannot get adequate information. Adolescents can get some information through television, video-clips and other media, but the question is about the credibility and quality of this channel. Therefore Foundation for Africa decided to complete the local Congolese tradition within school frames and have to provide them with credibility information. The new program was betting on with huge interest by the children, the teachers and all the sponsors.
