Our foundation operates the Othniel Grammar and Secondary School for more than 10 years in the poor district of Kinshasa, the capital of Democratic Republic of the Congo. We create educational opportunities for children of the most underprivileged families also, who – with the lack of free public education – could not afford the high tuition fees of private schools.

Our Student Support Program has been progressed so well over the years that the number of school students has multiplied from 200, so the building proved to be too small for the children. The institution, which is maintained by Hungarian support, has gone through a serious infrastructural development – we drilled a fountain, than later we developed the lavatories, the new school blocks, pretty classrooms, and – thanks to the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade – we also built administrative offices for teachers.
Under the present circumstances our students can fit more comfortable in the room and can concentrate more easily on learning. Now we are replacing everyday objects that amortized over the years, starting with the most important: we want to buy new school desks.
