Gifts, christmas walk

2012. December 25.

On 25th December, Christmas day, Lidia aka Mrs Santa J for the day handed out presents to the kids including Rubik's cubes, christmas tablecloths, red christmas towels, T-shirts, plastic cups. I enjoyed every moment spent together, and I didn't want anything during my African Christmas but love and be at peace. Christmas lunch was prepared too: Chapati bread with sukuma and lots of fresh vegetables. I watched Helena preparing the lunch, who cooks for 23 orphans and gets paid 50 dollars. In the afternoon the kids persuaded me to go for a walk with them in the village. They wore their new black T-shirts and black trousers and it looked like a uniform on them. Of course everybody came out in the village to watch us, and it was definitely one unforgettable Xmas walk in the sun.
